WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Our Chiad Fhion Haskap wine is semi-sweet and packed full of fruity Haskap goodness. Fruit forward with a distinct Raspberry note, it then presents an undertone of earthy Black Currant at mid-palate and finishes with a smattering of Cherry and Blueberry. There is a nuance of oak tannin and the bouquet of fresh berry aroma on the nose. Our signature Haskap Wine is crafted onsite with pure estate mixed varietal fruit, including Indigo Gem, Tundra, Berry Blue and Aurora. Because of the complexity of the earlier University of Saskatchewan Haskap that we grow, Chiad Fhion has improved with age, releasing the intricacy of the varietal fruit.

Chiad Fhion 2019 consistently won awards, with a Gold, 3 Silvers and a Bronze to its credit. This rendition of Chiad Fhion is of similar quality that allowed us to win Canada Fruit Winery of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
