Bee & Thistle Winery's CEO, Peter MacInnis, Chosen as a Nominee Finalist in the Prestigious 2023 CANIE Awards

The Bee & Thistle Winery team is honored to announce that Peter MacInnis, our CEO and co-founder, has been named one of four 2023 Prince's Trust Canada Veteran Entrepreneur finalists. The coveted Prince’s Trust Canada award is granted through the Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation, or IEF Canada (CANIE). Through a meticulous selection process, the CANIE Awards recognizes and honors outstanding equity-deserving entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in innovation, sustainability, social impact, community leadership, and business achievement. 

His Majesty King Charles III founded Prince's Trust Canada; the national charity is guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals championed by generous donors to support equity-deserving youth and Veterans in securing meaningful employment through training and mentorship.

As a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, Peter has successfully applied skills acquired in the military, to co-found and then lead Bee & Thistle Winery. His acumen with problem-solving and leadership enabled Bee & Thistle Winery to be quite successful, as evidenced by the winery winning numerous awards in its first years. The company in turn gives back to the community and the local economy through sponsorships, donations, participation in local events, and small business development in Saskatchewan.
