From GMN in Nova Scotia: With the opening up of the Border with PEI, “Mary” was finally able to come to the cottage to visit. On Canada Day, her and I tried out the red Chiad Fhion Haskap wine while enjoying our gazebo. It was a perfect day. The first sip of the red wine was a real jowl stiffener. It was tart but got better as the bottle got emptier.

Yesterday we tried the Loch Aline Rhubarb Haskap wine. That was really good. “Mary” was gushing how good it was. As I am a red wine lover, “Mary” was real happy to partake in the rest of the bottle.

LC: My wife and I have tried the red wine (Chiad Fhion) and both white wines (Loch Aline 2019 and 2020). All of the wines were slightly sweet, very smooth, with no aftertaste. The taste was crisp and enjoyable. We will definitely be ordering again.

KA: I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the Haskap Mist. I am not the biggest wine connoisseur so I don't have the wine terminology to describe things but it was nice and tart, which balanced sweetness nicely. I tend to prefer wines that aren't too dry, while also not super sweet. It almost reminded me a bit of cranberry juice with the touch of tartness. While I prefer the Chiad Fhion more, I would definitely try the Mist again. Thanks again for the delivery to Saskatoon, and for the opportunity to try the Mist!

MKO: Loch Aline: Great packaging. Just into the first glass but it is really good. So clean and smooth tasting. So pretty in the bottle, love the thank you card in the box. Such a nice touch.

Geraldine: I ordered the 2020 Angus Ban Limited Reserve Black Currant wine. With its rich ruby colour upon initial viewing, you would expect it to have the slightly bitter after bite that red wine drinkers are accustomed to. However, what you get is a velvety, lightly sweet and tangy explosion on your palate. I read the winemaker's notes and decided to pair it with a couple of cheese and cracker options to see how the taste would change. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the complexity of flavours with the different foods.

Sue: The Loch Aline wine was excellent. Best rhubarb wine we have tried. Would be amazing on a hot summer day. Very lightly sweet, great fruit flavours, and smooth.

Celine: Just finished a bottle of this one (Loch Aline 2019) and can’t wait to try the other ones. It was great and even better knowing that it was made in Debden.

Greg: I am not a wine drinker but I quite enjoyed the rhubarb wine (Loch Aline 2019) which I had delivered today. The delivery man, Peter (Peter, co-owner and CEO), is a really nice guy! I will watch for future wine from this company in the local stores in Shellbrook.

Colleen: My cheese, aged Brie and Imperial cheddar with a smattering of red pepper jelly....I’m enjoying a lovely glass of 2019 Loch Aline. It’s a beautiful smooth fruity wine.

Leanne: I like this; it is not as sweet as the Haskap and really smooth and easy to drink. I don’t know anything about wine, but this is fruity and tangy. It tastes like rhubarb. (Loch Aline 2019)
