Winemaker’s Notes

The 2019 growing season had plenty of rain but was suboptimal for sunshine. Saskatchewan also a prolonged spring with below average temperatures. The harvest in early July showed an adequate Brix at an average 14.

Tasting Notes

Chiad Fhion 2019 surprises the palate with intense bursts of cherry and raspberry, with an earthy black currant long finish. It’s crisp malic influence on the tastebuds, along with a pleasant Haskap aroma and a slight tannic mouthfeel, creates a unique complexity for which Haskap is often commended.

Suggested Food Pairings:

Chiad Fhion 2019 has a depth and complexity which pairs well with turkey and wild game. We also suggest enjoying it in the evening with friends over aged cheddar and a charcuterie board.
